Now that you're gone........

Dear Michael Jackson,

I never thought you'd leave us. Not this way. Not this soon. You were the world's greatest entertainer. A child prodigy. A musical genius. An international superstar. A generational icon. The crown prince of R&B who later went on to become The King Of Pop.
it wasn't until this week that I realized how much you scarficed in the process of becoming one of the most famous people on earth. You gave up your childhood, your adolescence, and any sense of normalcy in your adulthood for us. To entertain us. To bring joy to us. Alot of people who knew you, loved you, and respected you have come out after your death saying that in all the years they knew you, they never saw you happy. It's easy to think that with all the fame, with all the money, with the millions of admirers you had, surely you must have been happy as can be. It would be easy to think that way until you realize that what you gave could never be gotten back. I now understand why you were big on doing things for children and why you lived in a place called Neverland. You never had a childhood yourself. I don't think any of us understood to what extent Hollywood and The Music Industry had corrupted you. Sick environments breed sick people. The numerous plastic surgeries. The white, ghoulish looking skin, the child molestation accusations(numerous times). You were sick, Michael. I believe that your passing was simply the act of God giving you the cure for everything that ailed you. I pray that you find in heaven what you couldn't find here on earth. True happiness and inner peace.

Sincerely,

Jamaal St.John
